Under The Shadow of God

Under the shadow of God is a term used by Iranians when saying goodbye. This is a common term among religious people and refers to the belief that the presence of God brings them peace and security. In a land with a hot climate and scorching sun, shade inspires comfort and convenience, however, in the shelter of the shadow, which requires the absence of light, there is no light illumination that signifies consciousness. On the other hand, in Islam, religious people believe that God is light. “Indeed, Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth.” (from Quran 24:35)

This contradiction in the interpretation of the meaning of light and shadow is the basis of inspiration for this project. A sarcastic interpretation of these religious concepts that observe the contrast of light and shadow in a double dance.
